Yes, they do shed. As I am in a moderate climate I don't notice too much difference from one season to another. With daily grooming, which is a wipe down with a damp cloth, and combing, the shedding isn't bad. I would say they probably shed a bit less or about the same as most shorthair cats, Rex of course are an exception.
