Thank you Showcat! Sounds like I have quite a project ahead of me!

The breeds I am so far interested in are the Tonkinese, the Abysinnian, and the Egyptian Mau. Are any of those known by different names in different registries?

We have that in dogs, too, by the way - the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier are/were the same breed (depending on who you talk to!).
