One of my Bengals has multiple health problems and has to be on a very strict diet that is low in just about everything. I hate it. However, for this individual cat, the "pratically cardboard diet" is best. My other Bengal eats regular cat food that changes from time to time to accommodate his changing tastes. Right now, he's getting Eukanuba Lamb and Rice. I like the high meat content and natural preservatives it has in it.
I've always been cautioned about feeding too much tuna to cats, especially males, because it is high in a mineral that can lead to urinary tract problems. My cats love it though, so the healthy one gets a nibble every once in a while just as a treat. Keeps us both happy. Sadly, the sick one isn't allowed to have it at all anymore. I wish I could let him have it as a treat now and then though.
