:You will need to be very selective if you decide to get another kitten. (And I think since DH probably has staked out Honey you will need another kitty for YOUR lap!) The sex of the kitten won't matter as much as age and temprament. You need to get a smaller kitten than Honey is and you will need to get a very quiet sort. Not too shy, but not the rum-tum-tigger of the litter either!

:I think you will be able to successfully introduce Honey to a younger cat as long as she doesn't feel threatened. I also think that after you have placed Thicket that you should wait a bit before getting another cat, just so Honey realizes that the "threat" is gone.
