Is he jumping and biting at you? This could be play aggression. He may be bored and need some attention.

Do not play with your cat using your fingers. Get a wand or fishing pole-type cat toy and schedule two 15 minute play sessions a day. Don't wave the toy too hard.

There are other types of aggression too - if he's not jumping and biting at your ankles it may be something else. Let me know more details about what he's doing and I'll try to see if I can find some more information!
