I recommend a cat/pet sitter. They are usually in your yellow pages under pet sitters, kennels, etc. They will interview with you first, are bonded and insured, and a great solution to keeping your pet at home. My cats are much more comfortable staying at home versus being boarded in a small kennel for several days. At home, they are used to their own stuff and routines. Not nearly as stressful.

Costs may vary, but it is the same as or cheaper than boarding in a kennel. Prices for one visit to clean litter, feed, water, and play are usually between $10 and $15 a day.

I really encourage you to call some local pet sitters to see what they offer and have to say. Most pick up your mail, etc., when they check on your pets.
