:I recommend a cat/pet sitter. They are usually in your yellow pages under pet sitters, kennels, etc. They will interview with you first, are bonded and insured, and a great solution to keeping your pet at home. My cats are much more comfortable staying at home versus being boarded in a small kennel for several days. At home, they are used to their own stuff and routines. Not nearly as stressful.

:Costs may vary, but it is the same as or cheaper than boarding in a kennel. Prices for one visit to clean litter, feed, water, and play are usually between $10 and $15 a day.

:I really encourage you to call some local pet sitters to see what they offer and have to say. Most pick up your mail, etc., when they check on your pets.
