Caren, Bombay's are beautiful black cats. Often called the patent leather cat because of the sheen of their coats. They're not a common breed. Originally a cross between a black American Shorthair and a sable Burmese.

Without knowing the parentage of your little guy, it's impossible to tell if he's a true Bombay or one of the very few black domestic cats with no white showing. You are fortunate that he has such a sweet temperment and purrsonality! Post a photo in the Halloween Contest!
