They do say Kitten food is best for the first year, but yours are past the 6 month point AND if you look on your bags, they should say something like "good for all stages of a cat's life..." If one of the bags has that statement vs. good for "adult" cats, I'd go with the one that says something about "all stages..." It will be near the nutrition break out, around the area they put the "AAFCO" statement. Always buy a brand that has an AAFCO statement, tho 99.9% have them. Some of the off brands you never have heard of before might not have the statment. The statement confirms the food was tested in accordance with AAFCO procedures.
Really, you should be just fine. I wouldn't worry. I am sure many kittens' owners didn't know to go a full year and started them on non-kitten/adult food around 6 months, anyway...
