My cats were on Natural Choice for a long time, and did great on it... shiney coats, eat less (and less poop), less smelly poop. Good stuff. Then my male cat began having urinary tract infections, and the doc suggested a change in food. I switched them to Sensible Choice, and again they did wonderfully on it... except for male, who continues to battle urinary problems. Finally the vet recommended Science Diet CD, and I grudgingly agreed in an effort to help my male cat. In my opinion, Science Diet is just a hair better than grocery store foods, and definitely at the bottom of the list of premium foods. Anyway, the cat poop immediately began to smell horrible! Blech. I couldn't really tell if they ate more of it or not. I finished that bag, then switched to Innova, which I'm thrilled with. I went with the lite formula, which contains whole cranberries. I've heard those help with urinary problems. No luck yet. By the way, all of these food changes took place over the course of at least a year.
So, Natural Choice and Sensible Choice get two thumbs up. No complaints at all. Innova costs more and has all human-grade ingredients (fit for human consumption, unlike the "meat by-product meal" crap you find in the grocery store). Great if you want to spoil your animals! Three thumbs up!
