For the past year I've been trying different premium foods in hopes of finding one that will lower my male cat's urinary pH. This winter, I came across Innova Lite, which sounded great because of the human-grade ingredients and the fact that it contained whole cranberries (supposed to be good for lowering urinary pH). My cats were on that for two months or so, but unfortunately it did not solve the urinary problem. The next food I tried was Wysong, another premium vet-recommended food. After a month, my male cat was so skinny, you could see feel his spine, shoulders, and hips. He had lost at least three pounds. I finally realized that he simply was not eating the Wysong (my other two cats ate it just fine), so I put down some Innova and he gobbled it like I hadn't given him food in weeks.
I switched to the regular Innova formula because he definitely needs the calories and protein right now. On a whim, I also bought a can of canned Innova. I've tried to feed my cats premium canned food periodically for years, and they always turn up their noses (I've tried Nutros, Sensible Choice, Science Diet). Well wouldn't you know, all three gobbled the canned food for the first time ever!
So, I like the Innova because of the high quality ingredients (reading the ingredients sounds like something you'd eat for dinner), and my cats definitely love Innova.
