As I have 10 cats, some female and some male, I have never really had a problem with the sex thing. Of course, mine are all spayed/neutered. Did have a couple brothers once who started disliking each other as they came close to being adult males but once they were neutered they returned to the close relationship they always had and are still the best of friends. If you get them fixed before they are in heat it should not be a problem.
