I would trim her nails often. When they're trimmed you're removing the hooked part that does all that damage, leaving the nail blunt and kind of flat. She won't be able to hurt you, or most other things, if they aren't sharp any more.
:Yes, I'll let you know! I have tried different things with my cats but nothing really seems to work. My oldest ( she's 14 ) is the only one who scratches. She also loves to knead her paws so hard when I lie on the couch and pet her that she can tear holes in the furniture, clothes, or even your skin! I figure, what the heck, if it works then great....if not, I'm not really any worse off than before.
