First, talk to your vet about working out a weight reduction plan for your cat. A drastic change in diet can cause a number of problems with a cat's heart or liver function. The changes need to be instituted slowly and it will take time for the results to show. Also increase the cat's activity level with interactive play. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
