:Hi - Unfortunately I don't have good advice but I'll relay my experience to you so you don't think 2 months is all that long ... My overweight neutered male has been on a prescription weight loss diet for a year and when he went back in for his annual last week he weighed exactly the same as did a year ago!
I think perhaps more exercise would help - also, my cats free feed so now I'm working on transistioning over to a more regimented schedule.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

:Hello,
:Does anyone have any advice on overweight cats?
:I have a large frame domestic cat who now weighs twenty two pounds, due to my over feeding him.
:I have switched over to feeding him the pet shop brand dry cat foods for overweight cats.
:I would say that he has been on this diet for at least two months and I haven't weighed him, butI really can see no diffrence in his weight on sight.
:I'm looking for any success stories out there.Or maybe an answer on how long it should take for him to get down to a more healthy weight.
:I've asked advice from the employees in the pet shops, even my vet to no success. This also is a new vet, and I found him to be the same as my other vet. I find that when it comes to advice on weight problems and nutrition that at least these two vet's had very little advice to offer.
:Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon!
