One way is to get an interactive toy and play with him. You can use one in a small room. Examples of interactive toys are: Peacock feather, cat toy fishing poles with strings and toys hanging from them, cat toy wants with strings and toys hanging from them, etc. Many pet stores carry the above. CAUTION: Only have the toys out when you are with your cat playing with it. Cats can eat the feathers and choke, or eat/choke/get tangled in the strings. I have had more than one interactive toys and my cats love playing with whatever is on the end of the wand or the tip of the peacock feather when I shake it for a good 20 min or more. They jump and run, etc., in a small space when you wiggle and lift the toys...
