::Hi,
:: My husband is telling me that chocolate can be lethal to cats, does anyone know if this is true?

:Yes, chocolate is poisonous for cats. You don't hear about cats being poisoned by it so much, because cats wouldn't normally eat it. Dogs are more likely to ingest it for some reason. There is a very short, clear explaination on the webpage link I've included below.

I thought most people knew this, but maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for posting the link, and maybe saving some cats' lives. I stay with cat treats (like gourmet food,pounce snacks, etc.) just to be safe, but some human food I have heard is ok in very small amounts. CHeck with your vet.
