I have to admit I always find the idea of "people food" vs "cat food" to be kind of weird.... there is really no such thing as "people food," there is just FOOD.... some foods are healthful for a cat, some aren't.

I personally would never give my cats anything but the highest quality foods that are right for the feline. Giving carbohydrates to cats is IMO a problem, as cats don't require carbohydrates and don't tolerate them well. Even for treats, I give them things like freeze dried fish or liver bits. They also very much like little bits of cheddar cheese, or a bit of scrambled egg.

I wouldn't use something like Pounce that has preservatives in it. I mean, here you are agonizing over giving "Human snacks" to cats, and instead you're giving them chemical soup....

WHEAT FLOUR, LIVER, BEEF, WHEAT GLUTEN, GLYCERINE, WATER SUFFICIENT FOR PROCESSING, DRIED EGG PRODUCT, CHICKEN MEAL, ANIMAL FAT (BHA AND CITRIC ACID USED AS PRESERVATIVES), CALCIUM SULFATE, TUNA, TORULA DRIED YEAST, L-ASCORBYL-2-POLYPHOSPHATE (SOURCE OF VITAMIN C ACTIVITY), PHOSPHORIC ACID, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, POTASSIUM SORBATE (USED AS A PRESERVATIVE), DRIED CHEDDAR CHEESE, SALT, CHOLINE CHLORIDE, VITAMINS (VITAMIN E SUPPLEMENT, NIACIN SUPPLEMENT, VITAMIN A SUPPLEMENT, D-CALCIUM PANTOTHENATE, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN SUPPLEMENT, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE, MENADIONE SODIUM BISULFITE COMPLEX, VITAMIN D3 SUPPLEMENT, FOLIC ACID, BIOTIN, VITAMIN B12 SUPPLEMENT ), BETA CAROTENE, MINERALS (FERROUS SULFATE, ZINC OXIDE, MANGANOUS OXIDE, COPPER SULFATE, CALCIUM IODATE, SODIUM SELENITE), L-LYSINE MONOCHLORIDE, TAURINE, BHA (USED AS A PRESERVATIVE).

Fresh whole foods are best for humans and kitties, for treats or for their regular diet. :)
