Good Morning, I'm more than a little concerned about Becky- 12 1/2 yr old MaineCoon...probably over reacting, as she's never been really unwell before. Last Wednesday, (8 days ago)I noticed that she was walking with a 'rolling' action on her rear/right-hand foot. I took her to my Veterinary Surgeon, who diagnosed Cruciate Ligament damage. He prescribed complete rest for 4-6 weeks. In the week since then, I've taken her back twice. The first time, the Vet took extensive x-rays to absolutely rule out any other abnormalities - fractures etc. Diagnosis is still Cruciate Ligament damage also slight thickening of the bronchials. She's got both bronchial dialator tabs and an antibiotic course, 7 days' worth. What's worrying me more, is that she will NOT drink or eat. I'm syringing water into her mouth hourly and the only food she's taken an interest in is Hills convalesence, taken from my finger. THIS is what I'm concerned about. The lack of apetite. She's bright eyed, and has not had a raised temperature during this ordeal. She is confined in a cage 3ft x 3 1/2ft so cannot walk about much. If anyone reading this has been through similar with their Cat, please could you advise. I'm worried sick...
Thanks in advance & Merry Christmas all,
Smarty, Becky & Tuffy (Becky's Sibling Brother)
