My cat is getting fed by the neighbours, but he's allergic!

My cat is so greedy, he is a british shorthair, almost a year old. Its a nightmare, he is always eating. He eats his dinner and goes out and gets fed by all the neighbours too. There is one big problem with this, he is highly allergic to most foods, he has to have a strict diet which he hates because he likes to have a variety. I have tried everything to stop the neighbours feeding him, I have put a tag on his collar saying 'do not feed as he is allergic to many foods' but they completly ignore it. Trouble is he is so greedy he will eat anything, he is a gorgeous cat, loving, friendly and everything I want in a pet. I am stuck for ideas now, if only I could find out who was feeding him I could stop them. We even thought about using a mini camera on him but the range isn't long enough. Keeping him indoors is not an option as he loves to go out at night and we are at work all day so it would be unfair to restrict him to the house. Any ideas? anyone know of any equipment to follow a cat?
