:I have had a cat and a dog, the cat about 5-6 months old, and a dog, about 4 years old, that have always gotten along. They love eachother and play all the time! Well, I rescued an abandoned kitten, about 6-7 weeks old. She does NOT like my dog...at all! When they are all inside, it is constant havoc! Is there any suggestions to making her comfortable around dogs, especially when the dog longs to love her?!? Any advice would be great!

The kitten might be afraid of the dog. Try putting the dog in a crate or carrier and let the kitten sniff around her. Also if you can put the dog in a room and block the door with a baby gate so the kitten can see, hear and smell her that would be even better. Do not allow the kitten to have any contact with the dog while the dog is unrestrained for several weeks. This will help her realize the dog is not an enemy. After this time, gradually introduce them in the same room, perhaps even feeding them together. Good luck!
