I have a cat that is 8 years old and I am ready to toss her out the door. We have had problems in the past, starting when we moved into our new house four years ago, with her urinating on the bed in our guest room and in the linen closet. This went on for about a year until we installed door latches that close the door automatically. Now it has started again. We moved our 2-year-old daughter from the nursery into her new room to make room for a new baby on the way and my cat urinated on her brand new bed. I am furious and just want to get rid of the cat. I found my daughter lying on her bed amidst the urine. YUCK! Does anybody have any suggestions? I cannot keep my toddlers room closed at all times but know from experience that my cat will continue urinating on the bed no matter what I try to do. I have taken her to the vet for extensive tests and there is not medical problem. HELP!! I need to know if it is more humane to send her to a shelter in hopes of finding a new home or making her an outside cat with a bed in the garage??
