He is only less affectionate around those times that he is actively "asking" me for something. I think you may be right about wanting to explore. He had the run of a whole 3 story house in a quiet neighborhood before. Now he is confined to a 575 square feet, noisy condominium. He is intrigued by the hallway door and wants to go out and explore, but I have 2 large dog owners on my floor--one is undisciplined--and its not safe for him out there. I'm aware that he is thinking "there's more to see", and "There are noises I must identify." But its just not possible. Is there anything I can do to help him cope with the limited space (I've been experimenting with toys already), or do you think he'll eventually adapt to the smaller space?
