The water squirting might help if it appears to come from "nowhere". I am not sure they make cat muzzles, but if they do it might protect the little one.

I honestly think that you should consider consulting your veterinarian regarding this behavior change since it has been eight weeks since the spay. At this point medication might be your best bet. Also you could find out if your vet knows an animal behaviorist who might help.

Good luck. Don't give up on Thicket yet!
