I have a 3 year old Male Domestic house cat named Otis. We recently got another cat (Grayzee) who was barely 5 weeks old when we got him in early August of this year. It definitely wasn't a smooth transition for Otis but he seemed to be getting used to Grayzee and all his kitten energy. But one day about 1 1/2 weeks ago Otis and Grayzee were in the kitchen and neither my husband nor I saw what happened but Otis pretty much freaked out and growled and screamed and hissed. My husband went to break the 2 cats up and shut the glass doors and Otis sprung at his face. He got the door closed just as Otis lunged forward. To make a LONG story short things have not been the same since. He still hisses but only at my husband and Grayzee...not me. We have to keep the cats separated and Otis doesn't even seem to care anymore. He used to want to be out and cry to get out of the living room but now he could care less. (Grayzee wants to see Otis)I'm making an appointment with my Vet but was wondering if anyone could give me some help this??? I don't know how to resolve this. I want to keep both cats ....my husband and I love them very much. It just seems that Otis can't be trusted...any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Jenn,Bri,Otis&Grayzee
