Hi Cat Lovers!
I hate to say this...but you are my final hope! My name is Debbie, and I have a male (neutered) cat named "Brutus" that weighs 21 pounds. He is "pure white" and I have owned him about eight years now. He has always been "strictly" a house cat. (I lost my last cat to Feline Leukemia (he was an outdoor cat). Brutus was diagnosed with Diabetes about two years ago, and is doing fine with his Diabetes shots (twice a day) now.
About several months ago he started whining and meowing rather "loudly" about
6:00 A.M. and I have now narrowed the problem down to about three neighborhood cats that are male (mine is neutered) that "hang" around our outside home. Brutus is apparently attempting to challenge or "be with" these roamers. He paws and jumps at the windows (I have covered all of them). He Meows loudly while looking outside. He has now taken up urinating in our front room, on our $2000.00 carpet we recently installed. So we are now living in a "cat jail," by adjusting our lives with "Nature's Miracle" (which does not work), he goes right back to the same sites. We have tried Cayenne Pepper, Vinegar, Orange peels, and more, to no use. Thank God he is neutered, and declawed! We even had him taken in and found that there is NO urinary tract infection!
We are now placing Cayenne pepper, Vinegar, Orange peels, and Moth Balls, around our home to no avail. Brutus literally goes "nuts" in the mornings, and there is no place that we can place him or any way we can discourage him. Soooo our entire family is now up at about 6:00 A. M. EVERY morning (weekends included).
I really love my cat, and have become very attached to him. My husband states that unless we can do something in a few weeks..the cat will have to go. Even if we get a new cat...it will only want to urinate in the same old places that Brutus has. We have no other animals, and have even bought a $69.00 motion detected, "Barking Dog Box" (still did not work).
PLEASE HELP ME SAVE MY KITTY!!! My name is Debbie. Send ANY suggestions to me at: Tricoz777@aol.com I will REALLY appreciate it! Can you help me???
Debbie
