Stupid Question about shipping Cats

I would like to understand what is standard practice for shipping a cat to a customer. Seems that a fellow in the cat business has tried his luck with reptiles and not done a very good job of shipping them. He has defended himself by stating that he is into cats more than reptiles. Here is a link to a forum on his shipping methods. Is this ok for cats?
