Madame Alto is right about the separate carriers and using the seat belt to hold them. When I've had to take cats, I've put a little makeshift litterbox made of a low cardboard box right in the carrier, at the back of it.(the boxes that canned food like FancyFeast come in works fine) That is, if your cats aren't too huge. I'm figuring they aren't if you were considering putting them in one carrier. Also, it's been helpful if the carriers were turned so the cats could see each other during the trip. I've put a little food in a margarine tub and water in something like that if the watercups that come with the carrier aren't available. Towels are a super idea (and put some extra on the floorboards if you need to switch them out) It might be helpful if they were towels they had previously slept on so they would smell more familiar. Good luck on the move and let us all know how it turns out! The calicos and mom
