I moved from El Paso, TX (as far west as you can go and still be in Texas) to Northern Georgia with three cats. I think they were too stressed out to use the litterbox. I had seperate carriers for each cat and tried to set them up in the back of my Pathfinder so that they could see each other. I would also switch them around and let one ride in the front seat with me so I could talk to them and reach over and stick my fingers in the carrier for them to rub against or lick.. That seemed to calm them a great deal. I used small plastic containers for food and water, but I don't think any of them ate anything. Once I got settled in wherever I was staying for the night, the kits got their familar litterbox and food dishes back and everyone ate, used the box and slept.
It was really a lot less stressful for me than I imagined.
I would definitely have a seperate carrier for each kit. Traveling is so stressful on them, they may get aggressive.
