:I have a top/front dual opening carrier. Unfortunately after I bought it, it was listed by Catnip magazine as unacceptable because of it's tendancy to come apart! I discovered that and use a luggage strap to hold it together. If you can find a SAFE top/front loading carrier, then that would be my recommendation.

Thanks for the input, Everyone. I may get one of those sherpa (is it?) carriers as Josh is a big and long cat. It might be harder to handle a plastic one. Can you seat belt them?
