:I can only recommend that your friend do a thorough search for her kitty around the neighborhood complete with flyers and reward offers. She may find out that the cat's disapearance had nothing to do do with the border moving out.

:The only other thing I can suggest is to contact a private investigator who could find out where this boarder lives now (for a fee). Then she could plaster that neighborhood with reward signs for the return of said kitty.

I agree with Mdme.- she needs to find out where this person has moved to. It could possibly be that she just stole the cat. I know of someone that had happened to, but without actually finding the cat at the perpetrator's residence there isn't much to be done - which is really a shame.
