I used to have a neighbor that had somewhere around a dozen cats, and there was one in the bunch that just didn't clean himself. This one definitely wasn't missing out on socialization, so there must be other possible causes. She just left him dirty, but I have adopted an older cat that seems to be getting lazy about cleaning and have found that there are a lot of products for this kind of thing.

:We have picked up a stray 8-12 month old cat. We are still in the process of "house training" the cat. It didn't know how to to use the litter box, etc. However, I think it doesn't know that it is a cat. She is partially blind as well. But, the question is, I have never seen her clean herself - we have had to bath her every few weeks or use baby wipes. She leaves her self messy after using the liter box and even after just eating -food is left on her face. I'm wondering if she just never learned cat socialization. Thouhts?
