This is bad; yesterday morning I woke up, found that my kitty had gotten sick on the floor. Inside the vomit were 2 worms, about 2 inches long each, peach-colored. I was revolted but saved them in a freezer bag for the vet's next week. I am presuming Inky has worms... we got him from the spca about a month ago, he was supposedly healthy and got his leukemia shots. he is about 5 yrs. old and neutered. I am horrified at the prospect of worms; can they be transmitted to us humans? I found only conflicting info on the Net. I am taking him to the vets this week but until then, is there anything i can do? incidentally, every night he is meowing loudly and we cound not figure out why, but now we know. what treatment can i expect, and any other info on this gruesome discovery? another thing, we live in the country; he could have feasably came in contact with mice in the house, he is an Indoor only cat, but mice are around. :( :( :( Unless he had the mice before we got him (he was picked up as a stray, and we adopted him about 48 hours later.)
