:My indoor cat has a teary eye. She doesn't have any other symptoms of an upper resp. infection. The tears are clear and she isn't acting sick. She is up to date on all her shots. Any ideas if this is abnormal?

Teary eyes are not normal, but perhaps she just has some foreign matter in there that will dissolve of its own accord.

Keep an eye on her and if the tears continue give the vet a call. Many times a vet can help determine over the phone if an office visit is really necessary.
If she shows any signs of distress, change in behavior or if the tears become gunky, then make arrangements to get the cat to the vet ASAP.
