I have a cat that is about a year and a half old now. We just got a new puppy. He is only 9 weeks old. They are both scared of each other, and the few times they have come in contact, I have been close to comfort my very scared feline. I noticed that when she is scared and he is near, she gives off an odor that is very strong but not bad. It is not a bad smell, but very strong, strange, chemical type of smell. Is this odd, common? If you could offer any insight, experience, or suggestions even to help them get along, please respond. Thanks!
