Our 8 year old female cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. She is on medication for a trial month to see if it works. Meanwhile, she is continuing to urinate on the little throw rug outside her litter box rather than in it. The litter box is cleaned twice a day, she still defacates in it so she knows what it is for. She has lost weight, which the vet is aware of, but we dont know what to do about her "missing" the box. Any suggestions? Thanks. Judith
