:My 4 1/2 month old male kitten is showing signs of depression. He has been curled up in the same corner of my coush for the past three days. He hasn't eaten very much at all lately and doesn't have any interest in playing. We live in a small downtown apartment and he shares this apartment with two other kittens (of three months), one male and one female. They have all lived in peace for the last 2 1/2 months. He was at first the dominant cat, but the other male has become the dominant. A week ago, the vet sent me home with a de-wormer/ear mite treatment called "REVOLUTION" which I applied to his neck as instructed. Since then he has become more and more depressed. He will eat when I bring the food to him. I'm not sure if he is being territorial or jealous because he has never been like that before. Did the REVOLUTION make him sick? He is not vomitting or showing any other signs of illness. He is just not eating or playing. Help?
It sounds like your cat ius not feeling well. If it wasn't the REVOLUTION that made him sick, then he might have been incubating some disease. Either bring him back to the vet, call the company, or at least read the package insert to see if these symptoms are described as possible side effects of the drug.
