:I have had reptiles for going on 3 years now. I purchased a Tanzinian Legless Skink just after Christmas.
:I recently found out that it was not captive bred! Instead, it was imported from Tanzinia.

:I was sick last weekend and I noticed that my little cat was acting listless and hungry! She started craving more attention and begging for food. Her coat looks duller also. (She had all of her vaccs in July). We had a problem with worms when she was a kitten (3 years ago) the wormer was still good...so i gave her some on Friday. She vomitted on Saturday, it appeared to be all hair (very rare for her).

:She is eating A LOT of food (more than usual...she ate one of those small cans of cat food and about 3 hours later, begged for more food) She is only 5 lbs (her mother was only 5 also...she is very petite) I haven't noticed any significant weight loss, but normally, one can of that food lasts her all day! I am concerned.

:I am taking measures to have my reptile treated and limit handling and contact between the cat and skink.

:Am I worrying for nothing???? I do tend to be over protective of her, but at the same time, she is soo small I don't want a parasite to get the best of her under my nose.

:
:Many parasites can cross species lines, as well as bacteria. Bring both stool from the skink and stool from the cat to a vet for examination. Is the cat still acting unusually, or did bringing up the hairball normalize things?
