:I have a 14 yro male. He was quite a fat cat, then suddenly he lost a dramatic amount of weight. We discovered he woould only eat wet food. His 'stomache' area is VERY thin, while his chest area is still quite thick. He pee's on EVERYTHING - I've discovered some times he will use an empty litter pan to pee, but also litter seems to 'stick' to his feet almost looking like it never goes away and turns into part of his paws.
:I feel I may not be doing enough for this kitty. A vet has recently told me 'its his age'. The cat is pathetic to look at. I recently lost a another cat to feline luk, are there warning signs for that and could these things be part of it?

Three problems come to mind: diabetes, chronic renal failure, and hyperthyroism. All can be diagnosed through blood tests. Take your cat to your vet and ask for a blood chemistry and a T4.
