Q.Does brewers yeast work for flea prevention?
A.Brewers yeast and garlic together are a traditional flea repellent. Black walnut hull extract in the food is another good flea repellent.
Oh my. Now, I thought brewer's yeast and garlic had been thoroughly disproved as a flea repellent. I haven't seen anything yet about black walnut hull, other than it seems to be recommended for quite a few things that make animals sick. On what basis do you recommend brewer's yeast and garlic, Dr. Tobin?
And, I guess you don't subscribe to the cautions regarding garlic use for cats and dogs--that the disulfide in garlic is the same as the toxic disulfide in onions.
Thanks,
