:I just brought my 15 year ol'Calvin to the vet yesterday because she has been wheezing and snorts from time to time. She has been doing this for a few months. I thought maybe she just had a cold and she would get better. But some of the sounds lately seems so strange that I just had to find out what was going on. The vet suspects a tumor which I was so shocked to hear. She has a little puffyness on the side of her nose and she looked pale. The doc swabbed her nose and said there wasn't any discharge. She perscribed Amuxi drop for 2 weeks (started last night) to see if Calvin may show improvement. I'm really hoping so because I just can't bear the thought of losing her.

The likely causes of the wheezing and swelling are a tumor, an infection, or an inflammation. The lack of discharge makes an infection less likely. An x-ray or MRI might help diagnose the problem, but a biopsy would be best if it could be done.
