Electronic pet door?

I have a dog that is use to going in and out of a pet door. Now I have a cat that adopted us. He was hanging out in our backyard and conned his way into our hearts! He was obviously an indoor cat at some time (knew how to use the litter box and enjoys staying in most of the time). I am moving to a new house where coyotes and wild dogs are in the area. How can I let the dog use the door in and out to the backyard put keep some control over the cat. I'm really afraid he'll get out of the yard and he does sneak out the dog door now. Has anyone used an electronic pet doorwhere I could put the transmitter on the dog's collar so she could get out? The cat enjoys being out also, but how can I make sure he doesn't get out of the yard? Any help would be appreciated!
