Indoor cats live longer and healthier lives. All of mine live indoors exclusively. I use a squirt gun to teach them that doors are most unpleasant. Every time one ventures near the door, they get squirted until they finally stop going near a door for any reason. All 10 prefer not to go out that door:):).
