All my cats used to go outdoors. But their wandering days are over. I have built them a cat enclosure with a catwalk connected to the house. Don't give up! I don't have to tell you of the obvious risks (like getting hit by car, other wildlife, etc.), but in addition, your cat could get ear mites, hookworms, heartworm, fleas, and let me tell you those trips to the vet get expensive when you 8 cats. They are all strays who came in from outside. They are not happy now that I am keeping them in, but I'm the Mommy and what I say goes. They still have the cat enclosure which provides grass, bushes, and lizards to chase.
