I agree. I would make sure it's NEVER possible for them to be in a food-agressive situation. Give Chloe her own space for meal times, where she can feel confident that she won't be bothered and NEVER leave them unsupervised together. A "nip" is a dog's way of warning, and a warning means there will be worse if it isn't heeded (which it won't be, because they're kittens!). It is a clear signal that something about the situation must change or it will escalate. Hopefully, completely seperating feeding environments will do it.
: :As far as changing Chloe's behavior, since I'm not a dog person, I don't have any suggestions. If you haven't posted in the dog forum, please do so and I know you will get all sorts of suggestions. :Good luck! Hopefully over time this problem will resolve itself, but right now the kittens do need to be closely supervised at all times when Chloe is with them. :
:For the safety of the kittens you must NEVER leave them around Chloe unsupervised. Feeding them in their crate is a good idea. Perhaps you should feed Chloe in a place where the kittens are unable to be - so that Chloe will get a sense of security.
