I have two 3 year old cats, male and female littermates. The male is clearly in charge, and weighs about 7 lbs more than the female!
We inherited tiny little 3 year old female cat, and while she's very sweet to us, she quickly growls and hisses at the other cats (and even us sometimes!) Our cats will smell her, lick her, lay with her, etc., and she'll growl, hiss, and attack!
What can we do? We did the recommended meeting ritual (lock new cat in room, change room every day, slight communication through door, etc) but this behavior is unsettling and it's been going on nearly 2 weeks. The new cat is just itching for a fight 24/7!
