The Piano Cat. There's a great book in that name. Maybe your nephew can become an author someday and write her story. I like her real name too. Isn't it great how their names evolve? All mine have their "real" names, the names I list when people ask or that are on file with the vet, but then there are the names I call them when we're talking.

Anyway, as for Buford and his "cousins", this might be a great way for them to prove to their mom that they will be good cat owners when the time comes.

:All very good ideas and a great response. Sorry I was delayed in responding to your post but have been ill. At any rate, another couple ideas for the girls to try, is for them to shake the pounce for Buford and to go to the room that he is hiding in and sit quietly and read or talk softly. Not to him but just relax and sit and talk. He may just surprise you and come out to see what they are doing. I use this technique to tame my ferals when I first get them. I keep them in a small room and just sit there quietly and read to them. Not trying to touch or to even look at them. Slowly they come around and come out to see what I am doing and eventually we bond:):):). Of course, some are just shy and don't care for strangers and those you just accept as they are and show their pictures. I have one of those, she is 16 years old and my family always says "do you still have that black cat". She is usually behind the piano where no one can even see her without a flashlight. My nephew calls her the piano cat:):):)Here is her picture:) Patch Of Beauty Onyxcita the Wimp is the old girls name.
