I've heard of other kitty households who just get either dry or wet feedings twice a day in larger amounts without having any kibble out inbetween but since my cats aren't used to this I just want to be sure this is okay for them.
:He still is not showing any signs of discomfort (other than putting up with Pris and Sassy still kind of hissing at him a bit when he walks by them) but I'm back at work tomorrow so I won't be able to watch him as much, hopefully he'll be fine while I'm gone! BTW, I don't think a small amount of regular food mixed in with the Hills will hurt your cat if that's the only way he will eat it - you can gradually change the proportion until he is eating all the special diet. Good luck. I hope your cat continues to improve!
Many cat experts recommend feeding cats on a schedule and not allowing free feeding. It won't hurt your cats to try this, especially if the food is so expensive. Then you could montitor what the cats are getting. They will probably drive you nuts for a while though.
