Strange...I was just talking to a fellow singer who is a vet and she said that Feline Leukemia is not as contagious as was originally thought! Perhaps your cat is negative after all.

Indeed, you should have her checked. If she is negative, recheck her in six months just in case things are incubating. Then perhaps you can breathe a sigh of relief as long as she is indoor only.

If she is positive then keep her as stress free as possible and on a high-quality diet. As long as she is happy and has a good quality of life there is no need to euthanize just because the test is positive.
