I have 10 cats and I didn't know which one was using my rug as a toilet. There were several stained areas in front of my sliding door (no where else). I used one of those Oxclean type cleaners and it seemed to have done the trick. Not only did it get rid of the stains, guess what.....no more peeing! It's a pretty inexpensive product (so you wouldn't have to worry about having to eventually buy a new rug).
